When the new St. Croix Crossing opened last summer near Stillwater, it was the result of decades of controversy, advocacy to prevent or reduce its impact on the river, and years of construction work.

A new video from the Minnesota Department of Transportation shows the bridge being built from multiple angles with time-lapse technology.

See the water levels rise and fall, the bluffs change color, and all the other natural cycles that provided the backdrop for the construction project.
