The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced it is closing the Lift Bridge from 9 p.m. tonight (Thursday, August 25) to 5 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, August 26). The bridge is being closed for electrical repairs.

The bridge will also not lift for boats as scheduled at 9:30 and 10 p.m.

Vehicle detours to get across the St. Croix River are the I-94 bridge at Hudson, or the Highway 243 bridge at Osceola.
