Standing Cedars flier

Join St. Croix 360 and Standing Cedars Community Land Conservancy for a hike around the Tewksbury property led by Conservancy president Steve Rassler. Steve will discuss its history, including a quarry and homestead, past land use, current state, and plans for its restoration.

February 15 at 10 a.m.
Free, registration requested.
Donations to Standing Cedars gratefully accepted.

Snowshoes are recommended for the approximately 1.5 mile hike. If you don’t have any, don’t let that stop you. It should be possible to follow behind the snowshoers and hike. We may also be able to find you a pair to borrow.

In the event of extreme or inclement weather conditions, we will reschedule the hike one week later on February 22. Check your email before coming for confirmation. Parking is limited to 10 cars, so please bring friends and carpool!

Story of 360

One of the biggest challenges facing the St. Croix River is harmful blooms of algae in in the lower river, due to excess nutrients in runoff. The goal is to restore the river by reducing phosphorus levels to 360 tons/year. Learn more »
