On Monday, the St. Croix Tribe of Chippewa began its second year of releasing juvenile lake sturgeon that were reared this summer in a new hatchery at Sand Lake. The fish are being released in the Clam River system, as part of a long-term project to restore the population in that network of lakes and rivers.
