Belwin Conservancy sparks passion for wild places. Through immersive community programs and environmental education, Belwin inspires and engages people in the care of natural areas. Based in Afton, MN, Belwin protects 1,600 acres of land from development and revives threatened ecosystems so wildlife can thrive for generations to come. Together with its most long-standing partner, Saint Paul Public Schools, Belwin serves approximately 10,000 3rd and 5th grade students each year for hands-on, outdoor science studies and is one of the first outdoor education sites to adapt programs for students with special needs.
Enjoy open prairies and sheltered woodlands and hear the babble of Valley Creek as it runs toward the St. Croix River. Hike, snowshoe, or cross-country ski on our public trails, join Belwin’s events, or sign up for a naturalist-led programs to learn something new. Find ways to explore at belwin.org/visit. Pick your outdoor pleasure!
Since the beginning, Belwin’s work has been rooted in partnership and collaboration. Belwin is grateful to work with the following like-minded organizations: Anishinabe Academy, Minnesota Astronomical Society, Minnesota Land Trust, NorthStar Bison, The Phipps Center for the Arts, St. Croix Soccer Club, St. Croix Valley Athletic Association, and Saint Paul Public Schools.
