Wild River Clean-Up Crew 2013

The annual celebration of St. Croix River stewardship called River Awareness Week is scheduled for July 12-20. It includes several opportunities to get out and pick up litter, as well as opportunities to enjoy the river with fishing, parties, paddles, and other activities.

Full details are available at the official website, and St. Croix 360 will feature some events in the days and weeks ahead. Stay tuned, sign up, and enjoy taking care of the river you love!

River Awareness Week is sponsored and organized by the St. Croix River Association and made possible with the help of countless volunteers and other organizations.

Saint Croix Fat Cat Triathlon
Date: Saturday, July 12, 2014

RiverFest
Date: July 12-17, 2014
Location: Hudson, WI

St. Croix Sojourn
Date: July 12

Ranger Led Paddles: Reading the River
Date: July 13, 9am-1:30pm

Fly Fishing for Beginners
Date: July 14
Time: 4:00-8:00pm – drop in anytime!
Cost: FREE!
Location: Osceola Landing Picnic Area, Hwy 243 across the river from Osceola

Clean-Ups

In 2013, 94 volunteers worked together to clean up 29 miles of the St. Croix River, collecting 730 pounds of garbage. More details about clean-ups.

Story of 360

One of the biggest challenges facing the St. Croix River is harmful blooms of algae in in the lower river, due to excess nutrients in runoff. The goal is to restore the river by reducing phosphorus levels to 360 tons/year. Learn more »
