Swim the St. Croix and raise money for Make-A-Wish

Swimming for WishesMake-A-Wish Minnesota will be hosting its first annual Swimming for Wishes on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Lowell Park in Stillwater. The event is a 5k individual open water swim in the St. Croix River which will raise funds to grant wishes for Minnesota children with life-threatening illnesses. We are asking you to make a difference in these children’s lives through your participation in this special event.

Make-A-Wish Minnesota grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Simply go to www.mn.wish.org and register today for Swimming for Wishes. The registration deadline is Friday, August 17. In order to participate, it is requested that each swimmer contribute $250. This contribution could be made entirely by you or through a combination of pledges from family, friends or through a matching sponsorship from your employer. While $250 is the requested amount, please know that you will be able to participate if you are not able to raise the entire amount. We encourage all participants to spread the word for increased support of your involvement in Swimming for Wishes!

Make-A-Wish Minnesota strives to grant the wishes of all Minnesota children with life-threatening illnesses, but we need your help to continue this critical work and hope you will consider participating in this exciting new event.
