Via the St. Croix River Association:
Get outdoors with the St. Croix River Association and National Park Service on Tuesday, August 9th and Thursday, August 11th, 2016. The purpose of these events is to protect and clean stretches of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and nearby roadways. While working alongside park staff, you’ll be afforded the opportunity to learn about and experience firsthand, the cultural and natural resources the Riverway has to offer.
August 9th will be directed towards cleaning a 3 mile stretch of roadway which is registered in the “Adopt a Highway” program. Expect the event to take about 2 hours.
August 11th will be focused on cleaning a 1.5 mile stretch of riverway along the banks of the St. Croix River between the Hydroelectric Dam and the Interstate Parks (3 miles total – 1.5 miles on each side the river). Expect the event to take about 3 hours.
For general questions about these dates, or registration information, please get in touch with Kevin Zickert at kevin_zickert@nps.gov.
