Summer Tuesdays logoFor the tenth year in a row, Stillwater families will gather on the banks of the St. Croix River to enjoy free entertainment, food, and community. The Summer Tuesdays events are a popular opportunity for local residents to enjoy Lowell Park without the usual weekend crowds.

The festivities kick off each Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. with a market featuring local food and vendors, then the first of two bands starts at 5:30 p.m. Movies start at dusk. Attendees should bring a blanket or lawn chair — or in a new feature this year, post a photo on the event’s Facebook page in the weekly contest to win some prime “boxed seats.”

Another new feature in 2012 is the charity spotlight — for the first week’s event, the public is invited to bring children’s books to donate. The United Way will give the books to children and parents in need. More details about this year’s events is available here.
