The St. Croix River Association and St. Croix National Scenic Riverway are looking for summer volunteers to help with invasive species efforts. Please help accomplish this important work.

Specifically, the St. Croix River Association is looking for people who are willing to be:

  • AIS Monitors: Monitor the St. Croix for invasive species, either on your own time or with our summer interns. Training required Thursday, June 8, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the SCRA offices in St. Croix Falls, WI. More information »
  • AIS Blitz Monitors: Join us as a monitor at a local site for a one-day annual search for invasive species along our local streams. More information »
  • Boat Inspectors: Volunteer at landings on the Wisconsin side of the Lower St. Croix and serve as a boat inspector. Interact with and encourage boaters to clean, drain, and dry their boats and gear. Training required. More information »
  • Booth Hosts: Staff educational booths and educate a wide audience on the St. Croix River and why to protect it from invasive species. More information »
  • Algae Monitors: Collect water samples to help monitor algal blooms in the St. Croix River. Training is required, and sampling is at one location, every other week. More information »

To help with any of these activities, please contact Angelique Dahlberg at angeliqued@scramail.com. Many of these opportunities require a brief training, and we need to know attendance numbers to have the right number of materials and supplies on hand.

National Park needs:
