Applications are now being accepted for a month-long archaeological study on the banks of the river near Marine on St. Croix this summer. Led by Dr. Ed Fleming of the Science Museum of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota course will continue to investigate an approximately 700-year-old Oneota village.

The school runs June 12 to July 7, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a college-level course, and participants earn six credits from the   U of MN. The cost includes tuition and an approximate $350 course fee, depending on how many students register.

Contact Dr. Ed Fleming (Curator of Archaeology, Science Museum of Minnesota) with question and for an application: efleming@smm.org or 651-221-4576. First consideration will be given to applications received before April 15.
