Last month, I joined hosts John Tetzlaff and Eric Wolf to record an episode of their radio show Boating with Wolf Marine and Tetzlaff Yacht Sales. The two businessmen based on the St. Croix River host the weekly show which broadcasts on north metro station The Big Q.

Wolf Marine is a third-generation family-owned marina located just north of Stillwater. Tetzlaff Yacht Sales has offices in Stillwater and Prescott.

As we spoke, the St. Croix was nearing flood stage. Eric said it was lapping at the office door at Wolf Marine when he left that morning. When the show aired about a month later, the flood waters receding and the boating season was even closer.

We talked about many topics, mostly focused on how much we all love the river.

You can listen to the conversation below. Thanks again to John and Eric for the invitation and the fun discussion.

Story of 360

One of the biggest challenges facing the St. Croix River is harmful blooms of algae in in the lower river, due to excess nutrients in runoff. The goal is to restore the river by reducing phosphorus levels to 360 tons/year. Learn more »
