The St. Croix Forestry Conference provides current information on various solutions and strategies for handling forestry challenges.

The conference is primarily designed for local, state, federal and private foresters in Minnesota and Wisconsin, land managers, and other natural resource professionals; however consultants, NGO’s, and landowners interested in maintaining a healthy watershed can benefit as well.

Keynote speaker, Dr. Frelich, will be discussing climate change and ecosystems. Other topics include emerging invasive species, forested watersheds, sustainable harvesting, and much more!

Expert speakers for the conference are from state, academia, private, and non-profit organizations. Presentations this year include:

Story of 360

One of the biggest challenges facing the St. Croix River is harmful blooms of algae in in the lower river, due to excess nutrients in runoff. The goal is to restore the river by reducing phosphorus levels to 360 tons/year. Learn more »
