Tropical Wings is a non-profit 501c3 organization composed of volunteers supporting education and conservation for Neotropical Migratory birds through the Sister Parks Agreement between National Parks in the Upper Midwest and Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula.

There are 55 species of birds that spend their summer months breeding in the St. Croix River Valley and the winter in Costa Rica. Of the 55 species, 19 are considered conservation priorities. The ruby-throated hummingbird is one example of such a “neotropical migrant.”
