In honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, children sang the “Kids for Saving Earth Promise Song” from their homes because they could not gather together during the COVID-19 quarantine. We hope the spirit of this anthem to Earth and the beautiful voices of children will inspire you to work to protect our Earth.

The Promise Song has been sung by children throughout this planet in schools, homes, places of worship and more, as well as at the United Nations and at the Gershwin Theater in New York City on Broadway.

Most of these virtual choir singers are from the St. Croix River watershed in Minnesota and Wisconsin which is where Senator Gaylord Nelson, the father of Earth Day was born and raised; some are from other states.

The Promise Song virtual children’s choir was created by Kids for Saving Earth and North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area and produced by SchoolShine in Los Angeles. The Promise Song was set to music by Hummingbird Productions in Nashville.

North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area promotes the natural, cultural, and historic resources of the St. Croix River watershed. Kids for Saving Earth works to educate and empower children by providing education into action programs to instructors.
