Start your New Year off right with walk in the woods in a special place! Join the St. Croix River Association and Standing Cedars Community Land Conservancy for a first day hike! We will enjoy a brisk walk to work off the holiday calories, with some stops during our hike to enjoy the scenery and some interpretation of the landscape on the beautiful Standing Cedars property.

Learn about some of the nighttime adaptations of Wisconsin’s winter wildlife and how they survive long, cold winter nights.

Looking for something to do on the long MLK Day weekend with the family? Join us for an easy snowshoe along the frozen Willow River! Bring the whole family to experience the park in its winter splendor! Learn to snowshoe or improve your skills as you walk through stands of red pine and prairie, and learn more about the winter river ecosystem. There will be some hot beverages at the end of the snowshoe!

Winters are the most exciting and refreshing time to be an outdoor enthusiast! Join us for a moderate snowshoe hike at Sandrock Cliffs! Snowshoe alongside the frozen St. Croix with a Park Ranger and a St. Croix River Association trail guide. We will wind through white pine plantations on the Sandrock Cliffs Trail with some moderate ups and downs. The highlight of the trail system is the sandstone cliffs located in a side channel of the river.
