Via the St. Croix River Association:

Join us on the St. Croix and Namekagon Rivers to participate in a watershed-wide river cleanup on Saturday, July 27th.  Summer is busy on our rivers and litter can quickly build up, creating eyesores, causing harm to wildlife, and releasing pollutants.

We encourage you to clean up the rivers as you paddle through this National Park and practice good stewardship and live by the old saying, “Leave it better than you found it!”

Bonus: Submit photos of your cleanup finds to info@scramail.com and enter into a contest for a chance to win a cool river inspired gift!

Categories are: largest single item; most unusual and/or interesting object; and largest volume of trash taken out of the river. Photos must be submitted by August 1st.

Some outfitters will provide clean-up bags.
