Ashley Grupp holds the medallion where she found it.

Ashley Grupp hunted for the medallion at the Star Prairie Land Trust‘s McMurtrie Preserve every day during the hunt, figuring out each clue and honing in on the meadow. She was often accompanied by her father.

When confronted with the thick green grass and a big area to search, she refused to quit, and finally found it last night.

Several other folks also hunted hard for it, and we thank everyone who searched. We hope you will try again next year.

Ashley lives on a lake in Star Prairie and works at Wolf Marine on the St. Croix River in Stillwater. She told me she has hunted for several other medallions before, but this was the first time she has found one. Congratulations!
