The St. Croix River watershed encompasses one of the most unspoiled and picturesque areas in the United States. For 50 years, the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act has protected this unique 200 mile stretch of river valley.

Please join proud and engaged activists and citizens to celebrate this conservation success by attending the February 15, 2018 Great Rivers Confluence Symposium: “Valuing 50 Years of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.”

What:

  • Listen to engaging stories of the St. Croix and learn how the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act was critical to its preservation and remains essential into the future
  • Learn about In A New Light, a therapeutic nature photography program at Northwest Passage that emphasizes skilled expressive arts training and nature immersion and empowers marginalized youth to define themselves by their strengths rather than their weaknesses
  • Network with parks and nature experts, artists, historians, business-owners and community leaders and take home ideas for successful cross-sector collaborations
  • Share your recent successes with our many partners

Thursday, February 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center, 12805 St. Croix Trail S. Hastings, MN

Cost: 

$25 for preregistered participants and $30 at the door, includes breakfast pastries and lunch.
