St. Croix River Research Rendezvous

For the past 26 years, experts with a broad range of knowledge about the St. Croix River and its watershed have gathered on the third Tuesday in October at Warner Nature Center in Marine on St. Croix to share their latest findings. Sponsored by the St. Croix Watershed Research Station, the program is always enlightening for researchers, public resource managers, and the public.

This year’s St. Croix River Research Rendezvous will be on Tuesday, October 20. The cost is $40, which includes breakfast, lunch, and the “Frolic” at the end of the day. Registration is requested by Tuesday, October 13. Online registration is available.

Topics on the agenda include improving water quality, muskies, bald eagles, dragonflies, mussels, climate change impacts, and much more. Speakers include representatives of the Minnesota and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the National Park Service, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the University of Minnesota, Augsburg College, the U.S. Geological Survey, and the research station. A full schedule of presentations, which last 15 minutes with five minutes for questions, is available here (PDF).

St. Croix 360 has covered the event for the past few years. Check out previous coverage for highlights:
