Boaters and other water traffic on the St. Croix River will experience delays after 10 p.m. Saturday, July 4 as the Stillwater Lift Bridge remains in the down position at 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. The 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. lifts will still take place.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the US Coast Guard and the City of Stillwater, has elected to keep the lift span down to accommodate an anticipated increase in vehicular traffic after the Independence Day celebrations.
