The St. Croix River Association is seeking volunteers for our new Clean Boats, Clean Waters (CBCW) program this summer! Please help us prevent aquatic invasive species (AIS) by joining our team of CBCW volunteers.

We need volunteers to spend time at landings talking to boaters and reminding water users to protect our river and clean, drain, and dry their boats before entering and leaving the St. Croix. This year, our CBCW program will cover landings from St. Croix Falls down to Prescott along the Wisconsin shore of the St. Croix River. Boat landing locations are as follows:

  • Lions Park (St. Croix Falls)
  • Interstate Park (WI DNR)
  • Somerset landing (Somerset)
  • Twin Springs (Somerset)
  • Ferry landing (North Hudson)
  • Hudson public boat launch (Hudson)
  • Cove boat ramp (Troy)
  • Prescott public access (Prescott)

To become a volunteer, register for one of our CBCW trainings using the form below. The training will run for two hours and cover talking points for engaging boaters, general information on AIS identification and impacts, and tips on helping boaters inspect their boats for AIS.

  • Training 1: May 28, 2015  |  6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
  • Training 2: June 2, 2015  |  10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Once you receive training, we ask you to commit to 3-5 (or more!) four hour shifts at a landing of your choice from St. Croix Falls down to Prescott along the Wisconsin shore of the St. Croix River.

For more information, please contact me, Angelique Edgerton, Invasive Species Coordinator at (715) 483-3300.

Partners for this event include SCRA, National Park Service, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
