Little Venice Friday Night Program

Friday, June 21, 8:00 p.m. at the Boom Site Wayside Fire Ring

In the early 1900s the St. Croix River north of Stillwater became known as “Little Venice” because of the scenery and solitude found among its tree-covered islands. This Friday join a ranger to learn about the freshwater mussels that live in the river, the pearl buttons once produced in Stillwater, and what’s happening to native mussels today. The Boom Site Wayside is located on Hwy 95 north of Stillwater, MN.

Pace of a River: Kayaking 101

2013-06-19 19.31.26Saturday, June 22, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at William O’Brien State Park
