The navigation channel through the construction area for the new Stillwater bridge has been moved to between Piers 8 and 9, near the Minnesota side of the river (it was previously between Piers 10 and 11).

The navigation channel will be in this location for the remainder of the boating season. When traveling through the construction zone boaters are reminded to stay alert and stay in the river channel marked by the red and green buoys.

Also recently, the project team announced that the bridge deck is completed at Pier 9 on the Minnesota side. Deck construction is underway at Piers 8, 10, 11 and 12 on the river and at Span 14, which stretches from Pier 13 to the east abutment on the Wisconsin bluff.
