Free lunch provided

Spend a morning on the beautiful St. Croix River cleaning up the historic Boom
Site area, which includes a wayside rest and scenic overlook, just north of downtown Stillwater. Conservation Corps Minnesota youth crews will lead volunteers in picking up trash, clearing brush, removing invasive plants, raking and seeding.

Wear sturdy shoes and protective clothing. Conservation Corps will provide work gloves, eye wear and hand tools. To reach the volunteer site from Highway 36 and avoid downtown bridge construction traffic, take Highway 15 (Manning Ave) north to Highway 96; go right and follow 96 to Highway 95; take a left and follow 95 about one mile north to the Boom Site wayside rest. This event is made possible by the Fred C. and Katherine B. Andersen Foundation and the Andersen Corporate Foundation. Promotional support provided by REI.
