Video: Flying Carp Featured in Afton Fourth of July Parade

Float sought to call attention to threat posed by the invasive fish.

Check out the video below of the St. Croix River Association’s float in the Afton Fourth of July Parade. Volunteers created several ugly stuffed “flying carp” and threw them around the pontoon boat to bring attention to the threat invasive carp pose to the St. Croix River.

The float won third prize out of 100 in the parade.
