Thanks to KSTP-TV for this brief aerial tour of the St. Croix between Stillwater and the Dalles. Sights include the Soo Line High Bridge, Osceola, and the St. Croix Falls dam.

In related news, the paddleboat tours at Taylors Falls have resumed this weekend, despite the federal government shutdown which had ceased their operation. According to Stillwater Patch, elected officials came together got the tours, which access the National Scenic Riverway via a privately-owned dock, running again:

Frischmon credited the tour reopening to state and congressional representatives, including U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan (DFL-MN), U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (DFL-MN), state Sens. Sean Nienow (R-Cambridge) and Roger Chamberlain (R-Lino Lakes).

She also lauded NPS Scenic Riverway staff, who she said “were fantastic to work with” regarding the tour service shutdown. “They didn’t want to do it,” she said, but “the National Park Service cares for everyone’s safety.”
