Marine on St. Croix is throwing a party this Saturday night to celebrate as the “Be Moved by the St. Croix River” trip down the length of the river reaches the lower stretches.

The festivities will culminate with a square dance at the Village Hall, featuring music by a band including St. Croix River writer Don Mitchell — who recently co-published the beautiful coffee table book Shimmering Blue Line with painter James Wilcox Dimmers — and Corey Mohan — who paddled up the entire river this spring on his way from St. Paul to Lake Superior — calling the dance.
